Little Treasures Sale.
Well these last two weeks have been "fun" filled trying to get everything together for the largest kids consignment sale in Louisville. It happens 2 times a year and it is a HUGE hassle if you are trying to sale. I won't bore you guys with the extent that you have to go through tagging, hanging, matching, ironing, packing, and

Kayley's Wing.
Here's my jumbled mess of what I want kayley's "wing" of the house to look like...
We can start with her bedroom. I am envisioning this... with a twist:
Subtract the yellow. Yellow is my favorite color but I still want to add a slight touch of girly side to her room. She's my little diva so I think Hot Pink should replace the yellow. Same design just minus the yellow, add the rich pink. Also, I love the ideas for the shelves being placed in the white line above her reach so I can add keepsakes and breakables up there for decorations.
Then.. my favorite find so far. Her quilt/bedding, my total inspiration:
I found this on Etsy.com and I just cannot even imagine how soft this thing is. We are going to order it for an early birthday present along with some pink polka dotted gray sheets. :) She will be moving to a big girl bed at this point too and prayers will be needed.
large white letters hanging by white ribbon for her name over her dresser and dark rich furniture. oh gosh, I am getting excited.
Can you see my vision?
Onto the play room. I am the type of person that I would like for these rooms to flow together but to not look the same. They are separated by a bathroom and literally make up the east wing of our house so I think making them "similar" is the way to go. I would like to reuse the gray in her playroom but only as an accent. As for the way its going to be painted exactly, I need suggestions.. or I need to search high and low on Pinterest until I find something interesting that fits her bubbly personality. She spends most of her time in here so I need to find the perfect way...
But the colors I would like to use are LAVENDER with gray and yellow accents!
Here's the best ideas I have yet..
A READING NOOK. My friend Sara lives in Cincinnati and plans to get these racks for us from Ikea.
Also, Kelby and I love to play board games so we already have plenty to add to square picture frames and then as she gets older, we can add her favorites to make decorations instead of putting them in storage. (the pieces are all in the back behind the board) cutest idea ever.
She also already has this..
so this will be added along with all the crazy toys she has to make a hopefully exciting, fun play room that she will want to stay in (and not drag her toys out into my living room ;)
I am going to look at paint colors and pick some out on Friday so hopefully by then, I will know how I would like K's playroom to look. I cannot wait to be finished and to share pictures!

Lets try this again.
So back in June, I thought blogging was great idea and that I was going to become a blogaholic. Well, I wrote one post and never got back to it. I am going to try this again because I have tons of ideas that I want to share, projects I want to post, and I need something to do during nap time! My goal is to keep this up until I start Pharmacy school in July and then I am pretty sure that I wont have anything awesome to post because my life will be consumed by pharmacy school. :(
I am currently "planning" Kayley's playroom and bedroom. We just moved into a brand new house about a month ago and I have been antsy to get all the decoration up, the walls painted, and make this house ours. So, in the next week I have a bunch of ideas up my sleeves and I will be posting my creative ideas and then my finished products. Hopefully all these ideas that I have will come to life. :)
And, lastly. A couple girlfriends from high school and I have reconnected and started having mommy dates, play dates and we even got our husbands into the mix. It has been a grand time so far so we planned a trip to FLORIDA together.. just the girls. No guys or kiddos. With that being sad, I need to get this body in shape! So my "new years resolution" starts this week. I am going to work out 3 days a week for the rest of the month and then bump it up to 4 until we leave. Hold me accountable, I want to loose 11 pounds...... Here we gooooo. I'll keep you updated.
Here's my project for this afternoon:
A little idea from Pinterest to add to my laundry room.. cute huh? Hopefully mine will be as cute.
Tata for now..

Jumping on the blogging bandwagon.
Ive been thinking for starting on for months now and I am excited to say that I have finally done it! I just hope people actually read it and that its exciting for them! I have a couple intentions for my new blog. 1. To share precious pictures of my princess Kayley with family and friends. 2. To keep everyone updated on wedding planning/craziness and get opinions on my choices 3. To add anything that I feel people might enjoy... like my favorite recipes, articles, or fun new clothes and gadgets!
As for today, my first blog, I want to share how exciting Kayley and Is first trip to the pool this summer was yesterday. She had a BLAST to say the least. She loves the water and SPLISH SPLASHING. She's such a hoot and a major people watcher (like her momma).
She is watching three kids in the pool playing Marko Polo. We stayed for about an hour and a half and we went pretty early in the day. I didn't want to stay out too long because I still think she is too young to be out in the heat and direct sun light for long periods of time! Her favorite part of the pool trip was getting lifted in and out of the water. She giggled everytime!!
And for those of you who plan to follow me, I will be posting every other day if possible! Hope you guys are having a great summer and staying cool!
